The Literacy Institute is a new literacy center in Albuquerque that will coordinate and amplify literacy services and resources for families across New Mexico. This meeting is an opportunity for families to learn more about what the Institute can offer, ask questions, and, most importantly, share your experiences, ideas, and feedback to help shape the Institute’s work moving forward.

This is a friendly reminder that MJ Thomas Photography will be on campus on Tuesday, October 27th for retakes, senior, esports, cheer and golf pictures.

Please be advised that official varsity basketball practice will begin on Monday, November 16, 2026.

All student-athletes must have a current sports physical and concussion certification on file before they are permitted to participate in practice.

Please be advised that the game time for our volleyball games scheduled in Mora on Friday, October 23rd has been changed. The junior high will begin at 10:00 AM with varsity to follow.

Due to an unexpected power outage, school will be released at 2:30 p.m. today. Buses will run at this time. Be safe on this windy day!

Springer Municipal Schools will be closed Thursday, October 8, 2026, due to the funeral of a valued staff member whose loss has deeply impacted much of our school community. We want to give our students, families, and staff the opportunity to support one another and honor our colleague during this difficult time. The makeup day for October 8 will be Monday, May 24, 2027. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you keep the staff member’s family, friends, and our school community in your thoughts.

Volleyball Schedule Update:

Due to severe weather, the opposing school has decided to reschedule the volleyball games scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29th, 2026.

The updated volleyball schedule now reflects the new dates and times for the two rescheduled games against Mora and Clovis Christian.
